Your health plan is eliminating paper EOBs to reduce mailing and printing costs and the impact on the environment. EOB stands for Explanation of Benefits. This document informs you how a claim has been processed. An EOB is NOT a bill.
As of February 15, 2023 printed EOBs will no longer be sent to your home. You will have access to your EOBs electronically through MyChart and will receive an EOB alert as claims are processed. On February 8th you will be automatically opted-in for paperless EOBs, however, you can opt-out and receive printed copies at any time.
