Employees: FSA enrollment ends Nov. 30

Open enrollment for LLU employees to enroll in flexible spending accounts (FSA) ends Nov. 30. Changes take effect Jan. 1, 2012.

The flexible spending account program is available to all LLU employees with a regular paycheck, allowing them to make monthly contributions of pre-tax income into a personal account that may be used to reimburse certain health care and dependent care expenses. Employees are not required to pay federal, state, or Social Security taxes on the amounts contributed to the FSA.

FSA enrollment does not continue from year to year. A new election form must be completed during the open enrollment period for the upcoming year. To enroll, log on PeoplePortal and to go Benefits Enrollment.

For answers to questions regarding a FSA account, contact Risk Management at ext. 44386. For more information about open enrollment, email benefits@llu.edu or call ext. 14114.
