Funeral leave available for benefit-eligible employees

A regular full-time employee is granted up to 24 regularly scheduled hours off with pay for funeral leave in case of a death in the employee's immediate family. A benefit-eligible part-time employee is granted up to 12 hours of funeral leave.

For purposes of this policy, immediate family includes grandparent(s), parent(s), step-parent(s), spouse, children, grandchildren, stepchildren, mother-in law, father-in-law, brother(s) and sister(s).

A person who wishes to attend the funeral of a relative not listed above may use accrued paid leave time.
