Bending or Breaking: Sabbath School examines adaptability of religion Nov. 22

Calvin Thompson, Ph.D., D.Min., will present "Bending or Breaking: How Far Can Religions Adapt?" Sabbath, Nov. 22, to the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School Class. Dr. Thompson continues the class' series, Creating the Future: New Voices in the School of Religion.

Dr. Thompson has devoted much of his graduate study to relating the psychology of religion to theology. He earned his D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. from Loma Linda University. Prior to joining the Loma Linda University School of Religion faculty full time, Dr. Thompson was associate pastor at the Loma Linda University Church. He has previously served as senior pastor of the Vallejo Drive Church of Seventh-day Adventists in Glendale and the Azure Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class meets Sabbaths from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
