Jack Provonsha's moral vision continues as topic of Sabbath school Oct. 11

David Larson, Ph.D., will discuss further "The Moral Vision of Jack Provonsha (II)" Sabbath, Oct. 11, in the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class. Dr. Larson's study of Jack Provonsha’s influential thought within Adventism is a part of the ongoing series, Compelling Moral Visions.

Dr. Larson’s presentation will continue to draw on a volume of Dr. Provonsha's key essays, "Responsible Faith," that he is editing and that will be published by the Loma Linda University Center for Christian Bioethics.

More than last week's emphasis on ethics and bioethics, this week's presentation will focus on Dr. Provonsha's key ideas in philosophy and theology relevant to the Adventist church.

Some forty years ago, Dr. Provonsha, both a physician and a theologian with graduate degrees in theology from Harvard and the Claremont Graduate School, mentored Dr. Larson and taught of hundreds of graduates of Loma Linda University.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School meets every Sabbath morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex Room 3111.
