Sabbath school to feature editor of book on White, American religion Feb. 8

This spring, Oxford University Press will publish "Ellen Harmon White: American Prophet." As a preview, Terrie Aamodt, Ph.D., one of the book's editors, will introduce the book to the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School Class Sabbath, Feb. 8.

Together with her coeditors, Ronald Numbers of the University of Wisconsin and Gary Land of Andrews University, Dr. Aamodt has brought together a volume of essays that is a major contribution to the study of Adventist history. Dr. Aamodt will explain the genesis of the book and the likelihood that it will make more visible Ellen White's role in the history of American religion.

Dr. Aamodt is a professor of history at Walla Walla University.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class meets Sabbaths from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
