Aly Benitez will present the next class in the ongoing Minor Prophets of the New Testament, "Stephen: To See God’s Glory," Sabbath, Nov. 23.
Ms. Benitez, chaplain at Loma Linda University Medical Center–Murietta, will explore the most prominent of the deacons set aside by the early church—the person the book of Acts reports was "full of grace and power," whose "face was like the face of an angel" (Acts 6:8, 15). One commentary on the New Testament declares that "had Stephen lived he would have ranked with the greatest of the apostles."
