Wholeness series workshop explores managing parental expectations in professional school Oct. 30

Graham Stacey, Ph.D., will moderate a panel of individuals as he presents a workshop titled "Parental Expectations and Perfectionism: Getting Through or Going Crazy in Professional School" as part of the Wil Alexander Wholeness Series Wednesday, Oct. 30.

Dr. Stacey is associate dean for student affairs for the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.

Objectives of the workshop include:

  1. understand the pressures associated with parental expectations and perfectionism,
  2. identify the balance between the motivational qualities and destructive potential of both, and
  3. develop awareness and skills to make the distinction and maintain balance.

The workshop will be held in the Centennial Complex Damazo Amphitheater from 5 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.
