NIH – Reminder on SciENcv and Other Support

The use of SciENcv becomes effective January 25, 2026. This Guide Notice provides details for the Common Forms, NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement, and instructions required for use for application due dates and Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) submissions on or after January 25, 2026. This applies to all Key Personnel.

  • On or before September 15, 2025, users will find options to create the “NIH Current and Pending (Other) Support PREVIEW Common Form” and “NIH Biographical Sketch PREVIEW Common Form” in SciENcv.
  • For the NIH Biographical Sketch Common Form and NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement, you will complete both forms in a single user interface within SciENcv.

Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Institutional Research Training Grant (Parent T32) PA-25-168- To develop and/or enhance predoctoral and postdoctoral research training. To help ensure that a highly trained workforce is available to meet the needs of the Nation’s biomedical, behavioral, and clinical research agenda.

NIA Expanding Research in AD/ADRD (ERA) Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (R25 Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed) RFA-AG-26-010- To support educational activities that compliment and/or enhance training opportunities to ensure a workforce that is well prepared to meet the nation’s biomedical. Behavioral and clinical research needs.

BRAIN Initiative: Theories, Models, and Methods for Analysis of Complex Data from the Brain (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) RFA-DA-27-004-Aim to revolutionize our understanding of the brain and its function. To focus on new technologies and tools to map, monitor, and modulate brain circuits in model systems, toward the ultimate goal of treating and curing brain disorders.

  • Application Deadline: October 6, 2026
  • $150,000 to $350,000 in Direct Costs per year
  • 3-Year Project Period
