Research Security Training (RST)

A new NIH policy requires recipients to provide annual training to all faculty and researchers identified as Senior/Key Personnel. This training covers the requirement to disclose all research activities and affiliations, including active and pending support, in the Other Support section.

Important Note: This training is mandatory and must be completed annually.

Senior/Key Personnel will receive an email from Research Compliance with links and instructions on how to complete this new requirement at the time this training is due.

 

SciENcv

The use of SciENcv becomes effective January 25, 2026. This Guide Notice provides details for the Common Forms, NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement, and instructions required for use for application due dates and Research Performance Progress Report (RPPR) submissions on or after January 25, 2026.

  • On or before September 15, 2025, users will find options to create the “NIH Current and Pending (Other) Support PREVIEW Common Form” and “NIH Biographical Sketch PREVIEW Common Form” in SciENcv.
  • For the NIH Biographical Sketch Common Form and NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement, you will complete both forms in a single user interface within SciENcv.

CIRM-(California Institute For Regenerative Medicine)

DISC5-Discovery Stage Research-Supports comprehensive discovery research across a diverse range of diseases and bottlenecks that accelerate the development of potential therapeutics and biomarkers in regenerative medicine.

 

NIH

 Community-Partnered Nursing Research Centers (P20 Clinical Trial Optional) PAR-25-439-The purpose of this initiative is to support the development of innovative research centers to foster nursing-led programs that promote community-partnered research to address persistent health challenges.

Stephen I. Katz Early Stage Investigator Research Project Grant (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) PAR-25-322 provides a new pathway for Early Stage Investigators who wish to propose research projects in a new direction for which preliminary data do not exist. For this funding opportunity, applications including preliminary data will be considered noncompliant with the NOFO and will be withdrawn.

NIA Expanding Research in AD/ADRD (ERA) Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (R25 Independent Clinical Trial Not Allowed) RFA-AG-26-010- To support educational activities that compliment and/or enhance training opportunities to ensure a workforce that is well prepared to meet the nation’s biomedical. Behavioral and clinical research needs.

CA Health and Human Services Agency

Doctoral Student Representative Precision Medicine Research-Aims to support doctoral student representative research within California that uses a precision medicine framework, includes underrepresented populations, who have been underrecognized or excluded as research participants, and reduces health disparities.

 

American Heart Association

Rapid Impact Research Award- Supports early and mid-career investigators proposing innovative research that aligns with the Association’s mission. The three research-focused areas are sudden cardiac arrest, cardiovascular kidney metabolic syndrome, and stroke and/or vascular dementia.
