Transforming Care Award- The PI must be an independent investigator at any career level.

  • Supports person-centered research that prioritizes both the individual with AD/ADRD and their care partner(s). The project should clearly demonstrate feasibility and a realistic approach to scaling and implementation. CIT Partnership Option. Community collaboration is required for all applications. Animal studies are not allowed.
  • Maximum period of performance is 3 years
  • Single PI: Maximum funding of $1.5M for total costs & $1.8M for CIT Partnership Option.

Transforming Diagnosis Award- The PI must be an independent investigator at any career level.

  • Supports research to reduce barriers and improve diagnosis and prognosis of dementia. CIT Partnership Option. Studies leveraging existing cohorts or data sets are encouraged. Animal studies are not allowed. CIT Partnership Option
  • Maximum period of performance is 4 years
  • Single PI: Maximum funding of $1.5M for total costs & $1.7M for CIT Partnership Option.

Transforming Research Award- Supports high-impact research that addressed the priority area of "Reduce risk and prevent AD/ADRD." Clinical trials are not supported, but studies with prospective human subjects' enrollment may be allowed. Animal studies that are fully justified for relevance to human health are allowed.

  • Maximum period of performance is 4 years
  • Maximum funding of $1.0M for total costs. CIT Partnership Option: Maximum funding of $1.0M for total costs.

RFA-DK-26-009- New Investigator Gateway Awards for Collaborative T1D Research (R03 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

 

PAR-25-143- Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health (R21 Clinical Trial Optional) The overall goals of this NOFO is to reduce cancer risk, incidence, morbidity, and mortality and enhance quality of life in cancer survivors through an orderly sequence from research on interventions and their impact in defined populations to the broad, systematic application of the research results through dissemination and diffusion strategies.

 

PAR-24-174-Global Infectious Disease Research Training Program (D43 Clinical Trial Optional) The application should propose a collaborative training program that will strengthen the capacity of a LMIC institution to conduct infectious disease research (not including HIV/AIDS).

 

RFA-AT-25-002- Limited Competition: Advancing the Science of Complementary and Integrative Health Approaches to Improve Maternal Health Outcomes (R01 Clinical Trial Required)

 

PAR-25-283- Innovative Mental Health Services Research Not Involving Clinical Trials (R01 Clinical Trials Not Allowed)

  • The mission of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) is to transform the understanding and treatment of mental illnesses through basic and clinical research, paving the way for prevention, recovery, and cure.

 

Cal Violence Intervention and Prevention (CalVIP) Grant

The CalVIP Grant is available to community-based organizations, city and county agencies, and tribal governments who are working on initiatives to provide violence intervention services to communities disproportionately impacted by gun violence. BSCC plans to award approximately $103 million in funding for this grant cycle.

  • Grant period: January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2028
  • Application deadline: August 18, 2025

Pfizer Global Medical Grants

 

American Cancer Society

Discovery Boost Grant- Support high-risk, high-reward exploratory cancer research across the research continuum. Investigators may focus on developing research methodologies, establishing feasibility, or leading pilot tests.

 

Research Scholar Grant -Provide support for independent, self-directed researchers. Applicants' institutions must provide space and other resources customary for independent investigators.

 

Postdoctoral Fellowship Grant- Support new investigators in research training programs to position them for independent careers in cancer research. As part of their evaluation, peer reviewers consider how well the fellowship will broaden the applicant’s research training and experience.

 

American Heart Association

Pilot Grants to Explore the Use of the American Heart Association Protein Binding Atlas to Discover Novel Protein Interactions

  • to solicit applications for innovative pilot projects aimed at predicting and understanding protein-protein and protein-small molecule interactions involved in key biological processes associated with cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic diseases, including obesity.
