Electronic Signature - get yours today while supplies last!

Research Affairs introduces the following help guides to get you started using electronic ("digital") signatures with ease.

Digital signatures allow you to put your name on an electronic form. When the user receives it, they can be assured that the document looks the same as when it was electronically signed by the sender.  In an academic medical environment like Loma Linda University Health there are many internal forms, communications and approvals where the addition of a digital signature is approporiate (*).  Since your digital signature is so easy to create, you may think of many situations where you would like to put one to use.

Here are the links to two resources to help you get started creating and using your electronic signature:       Quick video        "Cheat sheet"

  • First is a quick video, showing you step-by-step how to set up your digital signature.

  • Second, there is a "cheat sheet" with pictures of the key steps.  Keep this handy once you've watched the movie version, as a shorthand reminder of exactly what to do.

Please don't be afraid to set-up your digital signature, even if you've not done this before, as it really is very easy.

(*) Please note that this is not a digital Certificate, which helps assure that the sender is really who they claim to be. But for many of hte internal documents in "trust environments" on this campus that extra security is not typically necessary.
