Principal Investigator Exit Checklist

When a Principal Investigator (PI) plans on departing from Loma Linda University and is responsible for research projects and laboratory space, a Principal Investigator Exit Checklist (LLUH Transfer of a Research Project policy and procedure) must be completed and submitted to Research Affairs. Completing the checklist gives the opportunity for the PI, department chair, and dean to address several matters before leaving the institution.

The PI Exit Checklist:

• One checklist must be completed for each research project, including human study and animal protocols
• Sections can be completed in any order
• If a PI fails to complete a checklist, the department chair or supervisor is required to do so
