RESEARCH AFFAIRS EDUCATION KICK-OFF: ON TRACK TO RESEARCH SUCCESS

I am pleased to invite investigators, research coordinators, staff, students and others involved in research to attend a half-day seminar sponsored by Research Affairs and focusing on tools and information to assist them in their studies.  Mark your calendars for Friday, October 12th, 10am-2pm.  The seminar will provide nuts and bolts guidance on seeking funding, conducting human studies, working with the IRB, and understanding policies and regulations governing research activities among others. There will be multiple table topics during the lunch hour with experienced representatives from Research Affairs and knowledgeable investigators to facilitate discussions.  The topics were selected from suggestions provided by researchers in a recent survey and the content is designed to help both new investigators and veterans to improve their success.

Registration is free and lunch is provided. This will be an ideal opportunity to get answers to your tough questions and to learn about the services provided by Research Affairs.  It will also put you in contact with other researchers on campus.

Since many more topics were suggested than could be accommodated in a single event, this session will by the kick-off for a series of lunchtime presentations on additional research related subjects.
