Updated AVMA Guidelines for the Euthanasia of Animals: 2013 Edition

The AVMA Guidelines for the Euthanasia of Animals: 2013 Edition is available at https://www.avma.org/KB/Policies/Documents/euthanasia.pdf (PDF). PHS Policy requires that euthanasia be conducted according to the AVMA Guidelines on Euthanasia. After September 1, 2013, all IACUC applications and the Vertebrate Animal Section (VAS) of NIH grants and contracts must be consistent with the 2013 Guidelines.
