Tips for Conducting Research in Special Education Settings
Evidence-based practice in public education isn’t just an ideal; it’s mandated by law! Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the No Child Left Behind Act require EBP. Topics covered in this seminar are: Qualifications in special education; Occupational Therapy’s role in special education; Examine barriers to special education research; Propose solutions to utilizing EBP in school districts; Explore strategies to influence EBP in school based settings.
The seminar will be held at the A-Level Amphitheater, Loma Linda University Medical Center, from 12-1pm. Lunch is limited – available on a first come, first serve basis.
