Information Services-Research (IS-Research) continues to optimize both clinical and data tools to support the researchers at LLUH. As we continue to partner with key stakeholders, we hope to continue expand the support. Below are listed the enhancements and changes that have occurred within IS-Research.
Data Tools
- REDCap: Integration with LLEAP makes it possible to pull discrete data points from LLEAP to specific subject record.
- Epic SlicerDicer: t=The ability to search for and identify potential research subjects. Self-service now available to export data from LLEAP, with IRB approval.
- Epic Cosmos: Increased access to LLUH researchers who have completed the required training access clinical data from Epic users worldwide.
- De-identified database: Remains available for retrospective research using information from Loma Linda patients.
Clinical Tools
- eConsents: eConsent for research studies is encourage by Research Compliance to support this effort IS-Research has worked to achieve a smother process to request and use this tool within LLEAP.
- Clinical Documentation: Optimization of Epic tools to support clinical trial documentation using smart forms and questionnaires
- Research Billing Process: Optimization of billing tools to support compliance in research billing.
ServiceNow Enhancements
The ability to submit your requests for support of research has been simplified with the creation of the Research category within the service portal. Work is in process to support simplified access to Research Access requests as well. Knowledge Articles are also available to provide information about the specific tools, access requests and training requirements
