New Operating Room For Surgical Hospital

Recently, the Surgical Hospital unveiled their newly built operating room. Physicians and staff are delighted with this new addition to the hospital. Here is what they are saying:

"The opening of OR 7 means that our job and the ability to accomodate more patients will be easier." Marla Savik, RN.

"Ease of use for 3D procedures and ability to control the machines from one control panel." Kim Barrier, RN.

"We decided to open a seventh OR at Surgical Hospital to help increase access for our surgical patients.  The project started in September.  The surgeons are thrilled to have another operating room and many are claiming it for their own service line.  The suite has 3D technology and a large flat screen monitor which enhances minimally invasive surgical procedures." - Marianne Schul.

Dr. Simental (Dept Chairman for ENT):

“It will allow more patients access to care. It will allow timely care as our resources maximize capacity.”

Dr. Barker (Urology):

“It will have more capacity to serve our patients, and more OR availability especially when there are emergencies.”

Dr. Scharf (General Surgery):

“It will allow us to improve access to needed procedures and increase operative capacity.”

Dr. Torres (Anesthesiologist):

“This new state of the art operating room will help keep LLU Health at the cutting edge of surgery technology.”

We all join you in celebrating this new addition that will help to provide better care for our patients. Congratulations!
