Campus Quick Notes

  • As of the month of October, 2014 our avg daily census at East Campus Hospital (EC) was 66 and 8 for Heart & Surgical Hospital (HSH). Employee engagement scores are up! East Campus showed a positive increase over 2012 (+0.08) AND increased the percentage of “Engaged” employees from 53% engaged to 58% AND decreased the percentage of “Not Engaged” and “Actively Disengaged” employees by 4% and 1% respectfully. MOST NOTABLE IMPROVEMENT: Increased ratio of engaged vs. disengaged employees from 7.57:1 (best practice = 8:1) to 9.67:1 WOW! Heart & Surgical Hospital also showed significant increase of +0.13 since the last survey administration. Overall, HSH employee emgagement is at 55%.
  • According to the National Research Corporation, HSH has had a rolling 12-month patient satisfaction score in the 90th percentile! This places HSH among the top hospitals in the nation in terms of patient satisfaction!!! WAY TO GO!
  • Our FTEs per Adjusted Occupied Bed score for EC was 4.27 FTEs and 9.22 FTEs for HSH. According to these latest dashboard metrics both hospitals are performing well below their targets which indicates increased efficiency in staffing.
  • Finally, both hospitals received over 30 positive comments from actual patients as reported by National Research Corporation. Well done team. Let's keep it up!
