19th Annual School of Allied Health Professions Alumni Homecoming Weekend

Last week, the School of Allied Health Professions held its nineteenth annual Alumni Homecoming Weekend and Continuing Education Convention. It was a joy to celebrate with past and current students as well as meet new faces. Faculty members from the Department of Occupational Therapy presented the following during the continuing education convention on Friday:
Anxiety — The Silent Symptoms by Praveen Injeti
Supporting Aging Persons with Dementia by Heather Roese and Judi Palladino
Materal-Child Co-Occupation — Domestic Violence Shelter by Jessica De Brun
On Saturday night, everyone donned their finest for the Recognition Banquet. We were honored for the Department of Occupational Therapy to be represented throughout the evening. Elizabeth Rangel Paredes (class of 2015) shared how occupational therapy students are making a difference in the community through program development with the Redlands Unified School District. In addition, the following occupational therapists were recognized:
Corey Young (class of 2015) received the Rising Star.
Sydel Khoe (class of 2000) received the OT Distinguished Alumnus of the Year.
Congratulations, and thank you for your continued dedication!
