The 11th annual PossAbilities Triathlon will take place near and around Loma Linda University Sunday, April 28. To ensure the safety of the event's participants, the following road closures and restrictions will be in effect:
- 4 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Stewart from Mound to Anderson
- Shephardson from Benton to Mound
- Anderson north- and southbound reduced to a single lane from University to Academy
- 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
- Barton from Loma Linda to University
- Benton from Barton north to Shepardson
- Van Leuvan
- San Juan
- Sierra Vista
Traffic will be detoured around these closures as follows:
Westbound Barton Road to Loma Linda Avenue south to Lawton Avenue west to Campus Street then south to Barton Road. Traffic will be allowed to cross Barton Road when directed by sheriff's deputies. Traffic will proceed north on Campus to University and then westbound to Barton Road.
Eastbound Barton Road north to University Avenue eastbound to Campus Street then south to Barton Road. Traffic will be allowed to cross Barton Road when directed by sheriff's deputies. Traffic will proceed south to Lawton eastbound to Loma Linda Avenue north bound to Barton Road east.
Residents on Barton Road are asked to follow the direction of the sheriff's department personnel and City of Loma Linda Public Works personnel.
