Divinity school dean to introduce Malachi again, for the first time April 27

John Webster, Ph.D., will lead the Roy Branson & Friends Sabbath School in readings and study of the last book of the Old Testament in "Malachi: Reading Malachi Again...As if for the First Time" Sabbath, April 27.

The last verses of the last book of the Christian ordering of the Old Testament talk about both Moses, the deliverer of the law, and Elijah, the prophet. Both, of course, appear in the New Testament with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration. Dr. Webster will explore different ways that Malachi has been seen by the followers of Jesus as portending their message of hope.

Dr. Webster is dean of the H.M.S. Richards Divinity School at La Sierra University.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class meets from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
