Sabbath School continues prophet series with exploration of Micah

Doug Clark, Ph.D., will lead the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School in an exploration of "Micah: The Voice of the Poor for the Poor" Sabbath, March 30.

Micah, an eighth-century poet-preacher from a small village near Jerusalem, is quoted early in the Gospel of Matthew (2:6) and often in contemporary church services: "What does the Lord require of you but to do Justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?"

Dr. Clark, associate dean of the La Sierra University H.M.S. Richards School of Divinity, is an archeologist and Old Testament literary scholar, and has served as the executive director of the American Schools of Oriental Research.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class meets Sabbaths from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
