New class offers on-site exploration of marine biology

Dr. Stephen G. Dunbar, marine biologist and associate professor of earth and biological sciences, will lead an introductory, college-level course on the animals and ecology of some of Southern California's most interesting rocky shores.

Be amazed at the abundance and richness of the local marine wildlife, learn about tides and intertidal animals, and see sea creatures in this dynamic ecosystem.

Classes and field trips will be held between April 23 and May 19. Classes will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Griggs Hall room 117. Field trips will leave at arranged times from the Griggs Hall parking lot Sunday mornings.

For more information, call Dr. Dunbar at ext. 48903 or email him at sdunbar@llu.edu.

Space is limited. Full time benefited employees may be eligible to apply LLU tuition reimbursement toward this course.
