Belief and certainty subject of Sabbath School

David Larson, Ph.D., will plunge into a question many thoughtful persons have asked themselves--"How Much Certainty Must I Have To Be a Genuine Believer?"--for the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School Class Sabbath, Jan. 12.

Serious pilgrims of faith ask not only how much they must affirm, but also how sure they must be about their beliefs.

Dr. Larson, professor of religion at Loma Linda University, is the son of an Adventist evangelist and college Bible teacher. Dr. Larson graduated from Pacific Union College, earned his M.Div. from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, and earned two doctorates from the Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Larson is also a founder and former director of the Center for Christian Bioethics. He has written widely on ethical issues, the theology of the Adventist community, and on the Methodist tradition that helped shape Adventism.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School Class meets Sabbaths from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sabbaths in Centennial Complex room 3111.
