Sabbath School class concludes with 'Metaphors of Salvation'

John Jones, Ph.D, will explore biblical "Metaphors of Salvation" Sabbath, Nov. 17. Dr. Jones will present the final in the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School series that has explored how scripture and the Christian church have envisioned salvation and redemption in terms from the court of law, the classroom, the battlefield and the healing arts.

Dr. Jones, professor of New Testament at the H.M.S. Richards Divinity School of La Sierra University, is a former dean of the Loma Linda University School of Religion and is a regular on the television program "Searching for Answers."

The following Sabbath, Nov. 24, Brenda Butka, M.D., will be reading selections of her poetry that has emerged from her practice and teaching at Vanderbilt University.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School Class meets from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
