Weekend seminars to explore timely question: Where is God? Feb. 12-13

In the wake of events like the recent shootings in San Bernardino, people ask where God is when evil strikes. What is God's mission and purpose for Adventism when the world seems to be coming apart? How can Adventists and Muslims be a healing presence in our communities? Explore these and other questions at this seminar on Friday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m and Sabbath, Feb. 13, at 3 p.m. at Campus Hill Church.

Speakers will include Gaby Philips, director of North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists Adventist-Muslim Relations Center, on "Violence and the Character of God: How is God Advancing His Purposes in an Age of Terror?"; Petras Bahadur, director of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Adventist-Muslim Relations Center, on "Adventist Identity: The Key to Muslim Relations"; and Jon Paulien, dean of the Loma Linda University School of Religion, on "The Open Remnant."

For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed online at http://goo.gl/UnvwHm.

The seminar is hosted by the Loma Linda University School of Religion.
