Margie Arnett, MS, will present a workshop titled "They loved your resume, then they saw your tweets! Social Media," part of the Wil Alexander Wholeness Series, on Wednesday, December 2. The workshop will be held in the Damazo Amphitheater, Centennial Complex, from 5 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.
Ms. Arnett is an Assistant Professor in Educational Services for the LLU School of Dentistry and the founder of Giddyup Genie, a social and multimedia marketing company in the Inland Empire. She has presented numerous social media workshops and lectures at national scientific conferences and universities. Her articles on social media, tobacco-dependence, and public health dentistry have been published in the Journal of Dental Education, British Dental Journal, and Journal of the California Dental Association.
Objectives for the workshop include:
- Review the appropriateness of social media posts;
- Understand that digital footprints last a lifetime; and
- Learn effective networking using social media.
Reservations are not required and seating is available to accommodate large crowds. Everyone is invited to attend the Wil Alexander Wholeness Series.
