The Bible in contemporary life: Sabbath school starts new series July 4

Laura Alipoon, EdD, will help the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class celebrate July 4 by inaugurating a series of discussions regarding the Bible in contemporary life.

The series will draw on a recent volume, "Misreading Scripture with Western Eyes." Dr. Alipoon will begin the series where the book does: "Cultural Blinders--Can They Be Removed?"

Dr. Alipoon, chair of the School of Allied Health Professions department of radiation technology, earned her EdD from La Sierra University in administration and education. She has taught many times for LLU in Saudi Arabia and been a campus-wide leader in University accreditation reviews.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School meets every Sabbath through the summer from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
