Visiting scholar answers 'Why Am I Still Adventist?' April 19

Many members of the Adventist church have asked themselves, "Why Am I Still a Seventh-day Adventist?" Dr. Reinder Bruinsma, Loma Linda University School of Religion visiting scholar, will share his answer to that question with the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School Class Sabbath, April 19.

Dr. Bruinsma's presentation continues his month-long series titled "Will the Real Adventist Please Stand Up!"

Dr. Bruisnma, who earned his doctorate from the University of London in the field of religious history, has written over 25 books, including the widely read "It's Time to Stop Rehearsing What We Believe and Start Looking at What Difference It Makes." He has also edited and co-edited many other volumes, including "Exploring the Frontiers of Faith: Festschrift in Honor of Dr. Jan Paulsen" for the immediate past president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. In addition, Dr. Bruinsma has served in many leadership roles in the European Adventist Church, including as executive secretary of the Trans-European Division.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class meets Sabbaths from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
