Sabbath school looks at 'Ellen White a Hundred Years On' March 22

Gilbert Valendtine, Ph.D., will present "Ellen White a Hundred Years On" Sabbath, March 22, drawing on a chapter he wrote for the soon-to-be-released book from Oxford University Press titled "Ellen Harmon White: American Prophet."

Dr. Valentine is a professor of administration and leadership and chair of the La Sierra University School of Education administration and leadership department. His most recent book is "The Prophet and the Presidents," a study of how Ellen White and several presidents of the Adventist church circled each other regarding both church doctrine and structure. Other books by Dr. Valentine include studies of the physician and theologian E.J. Waggoner, proponent of righteousness by faith and "holy flesh," and W.W. Prescott, a graduate of Dartmouth College and founder of four Adventist colleges.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School Class meets from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Sabbaths in Centennial Complex room 3111.
