Wholeness workshop: Domestic violence red flags, professional responsibilities (March 12)

Heather Javaherian, O.T.D., OTR/L, will present "Domestic Violence: Realities, Red Flags and Your Role as a Healthcare Professional" Wednesday, March 12, as part of the Wil Alexander Wholeness Series of workshops.

Domestic violence is a social problem seen across all socioeconomic levels, cultures and ages. Dr. Javaherian will discuss the effects of domestic violence and the signs a health care provider may see. Dr. Javaherian is co-chair of the Domestic Violence Sexual Assault Task Force, a group that includes representatives from several Loma Linda University schools, LLUMC departments and community members. Dr. Javaherian also serves as the program director of the doctor of occupational therapy program.

"Domestic Violence: Realities, Red Flags and Your Role as a Healthcare Provider" will be held in Centennial Complex Damazo Amphitheater from 5 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.
