Ethics of decision-making for the 'Unbefriended Patient': Bioethics Grand Rounds Feb. 26

Joan Henriksen Hellyer, Ph.D., RN, coordinator of the Clinical Ethics Consultation Service at Mayo Clinic, will present "Decision Making for the Unbefriended Patient" as part of the Center for Christian Bioethics Grand Rounds Wednesday, Feb. 26.

Among the questions that will be answered are: What is an unbefriended patient? What are the ethical challenges of caring for unbefriended patients and what are some standard processes for making decisions for such patients?

The Bioethics Grand Rounds event will be held in the Loma Linda University Medical Center A-level Amphitheater from noon to 1 p.m. Continuing education credit is available.

This event is presented in conjunction with the Loma Linda University Medical Center Clinical Ethics Service.
