New LLUP 'Servant God' book signing event March 9

Authors of "Servant God: The Cosmic Conflict Over God's Trustworthiness" will sign copies of the book at the Redlands Barnes and Noble store Sunday, March 9. The book, published by the Loma Linda University Press, makes the case that God's character and Jesus's character are the same: God came in human form to serve, not to be served.

Among the contributors to the book are New York Times' bestselling author Greg Boyd, Walla Walla University professor of Biblical studies Alden Thompson, Pacific Union College professor of religion Jean Sheldon, as well as authors from closer to home, including Sigve Tonstad, Brad Cole and Dorothee Cole.

Dr. Lawrence Geraty, past president of La Sierra University and current executive director of the La Sierra University Foundation, praised "Servant God": "I was profoundly blessed by reading this gospel-oriented, grace filled book...One leaves this book with a renewed sense of wholeness and peace. It should be on the reading list of every thoughtful soul."

"Servant God" is available from the Loma Linda University Press; call 909-558-4552 for information. The book is also available at the Loma Linda University Campus Store, at the Adventist Book Center in Loma Linda, at the Barnes and Noble store in Redlands and from Amazon.com in both print and Kindle formats.
