Sabbath school explores Adventism's biblical disagreements Jan. 25

Richard Rice, Ph.D., will conduct a new, in-depth exploration of "Why Adventists Disagree About the Bible" for the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class Sabbath, Jan. 25.

Dr. Rice's presentation is a summary of a major address he delivered two months ago to the Adventist Society for Religious Studies, the largest gathering of Adventist scholars from around the world. In this wide-ranging talk, Dr. Rice will examine how debates about the inerrancy of the Bible have unnecessarily divided Adventist believers on such contemporary issues as the ordination of women.

Dr. Rice is a widely published professor of religion in the Loma Linda University School of Religion.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class meets Sabbaths from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
