Ethics film series continues with screenings of 'The Attack' Jan. 29-30

The Center for Christian Bioethics will screen "The Attack," the latest in its ongoing Ethics in Great Films series, Wednesday, Jan. 29, and Thursday, Jan. 30.

Based on Yasima Khadra's internationally bestselling book, "The Attack" is the story of a Muslim Israeli surgeon who is fully assimilated into Tel Aviv society and who has a loving wife, an exemplary career and many Jewish friends. His life turns upside down when a suicide bombing leaves 19 dead--and police connect him to the attack.

Following the screening will be a brief discussion of the ethical issues raised by the film.

Dr. Anees Razzouk, M.D., chair of cardiac and thoracic surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center, will be a special guest Thursday night. Born in the Middle East, Dr. Razzouk will lead responses after the film.

The film will be shown in Centennial Complex room 3113 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
