Cameron J. Johnson, M.D., will present a workshop titled "Sleep: A Psychiatrist Delivers a Wake-up Call" Wednesday, Jan. 15, the latest in the Wil Alexander Wholeness Series.
The workshop will highlight the importance of sleep and cover the following objectives:
- understand how sleep resets and maintains the endocrine, hormone, immune and cardio functions;
- learn how sleep helps lower the risk of conditions such as hypertension, stroke, periodontal disease and cancer; and
- explore how quality sleep improves productivity, sense of well-being, life satisfaction and creativity.
This workshop will be held in the Centennial Complex Damazo Amphitheater from 5 p.m. to 5:50 p.m.
