Nov. 30 Sabbath school to examine 2 Peter, today's 'Great Disappointment'

Dr. David Larson will present "2 Peter: Coping with today's 'Great Disappointment'” on Nov. 30, a reprise of the Sabbath School class he taught on 2 Peter in October. Dr. Larson considers 2 Peter's discussion on coping with the delay of the Second Coming of Christ as one of the most profound in the New Testament.

This presentation continues the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class's series on the Minor Prophets of the New Testament—small books placed at the end of the Bible, just before the book of Revelation.

Dr. Larson, professor of religion at Loma Linda University, has written extensively including articles in “Spectrum” magazine and chapters in books on ethics and on the history of the Adventist community. In addition, Dr. Larson was one of the founders of the Center for Christian Bioethics, which he headed for some 19 years.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath school meets from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Sabbaths in Centennial Complex room 3111.
