Dr. John Jones will present "Will the Real Heretic Please Stand Up?" a study of 2 and 3 John, two short books at the end of the New Testament. The presentation will continue the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class's Minor Prophets of the New Testament series.
Dr. Jones, a professor of New Testament studies at La Sierra University, will explore who might have been a threat to “the teaching of Christ,” and to “the truth,” being taught by the early Christian church. What might be regarded as a parallel threat today?
