Sabbath school begins 'Paul Among the People' series July 6

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class will begin a new series titled Paul Among the People. Dr. Roy Branson will lead the opening meeting with "Reimagining Paul in His Own Time" July 6.

For seven Sabbaths, the class will study how Paul would have been perceived by not only the members of his Hebrew religion, but also by the cosmopolitan writers and leaders of the Greco-Roman world. Look at Paul's Greek and Roman culture will help us better understand his views on issues such as women, the state, slavery and the nature of the church.

The Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School class meets Sabbaths from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
