David Larson, Ph.D., will present "Hezekiah & Prayer: Plead and Regret What You Receive (2 Kings 20:1-11; Isaiah 38:1-22)" Sabbath, June 1, for the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School Class.
The Bible reports that the Lord gives King Hezekiah a death sentence. Hezekiah turns his face to the wall and prays. The Lord responds by saying "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; indeed, I will heal you."
Dr. Larson, Loma Linda University professor of religion, will study what comes before and after this dramatic incident--and what it might mean for us today.
Dr. Larson's presentation is part of an ongoing series, Healing in the Bible, in the Roy Branson and Friends Sabbath School Class. The class meets from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Centennial Complex room 3111.
