Help early elementary students with reading at literacy camp

The School of Allied Health Professions department of communication sciences and disorders is offering an intensive Phonological Awareness and Literacy Camp for incoming kindergarten through third grade students who are presenting with difficulty in beginning reading or are at-risk for difficulty with beginning reading.

Literacy campers will have fun while focusing on the building blocks of reading: literature awareness, syllable awareness, rhyme awareness, segmenting and blending. Individual speech and language services may also be available.

The Phonological Awareness and Literacy Camp will run from July 22 through Aug. 2 with a morning or afternoon session available. The cost is $50 for the two week program.
