ABC7 Eyewitness News features Loma Linda

Loma Linda locals enjoy spending time at the LLU Drayson Center swimming pool during a sunny afternoon as ABC7 filmed.

Many Loma Linda locals know about the community’s designation as a Blue Zone® — an area that is distinguished by the fact that residents typically live far longer than people living elsewhere. Loma Linda was given this designation by Dan Buettner, author of “The Blue Zones: 9 Lessons for Living Longer from the People Who’ve Lived the Longest.”

Last week, ABC7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles featured Loma Linda as a community of longevity.

Featuring Daniel Fontoura, MBA, vice president of wholeness at Loma Linda University Health, and local residents as they worked out in the LLU Drayson Center swimming pool, this report showcases the fact that people within the Loma Linda area typically live up to 8 years longer than normal.
