6088:33351 <![CDATA[New account freeze due to LLIFT]]> Aleta Savage Due to the new enterprise-wide financial system implementation (LLIFT), no new accounts will be setup as of January 31, 2018. Please find the SBAR memo below.

If this change affects any of your projects, Post Award will work to accommodate you during the transition. If you have any questions, please contact the Post Award office at ext. 44589 or rapostaward@llu.edu.

Situation

Based on LLIFT’s target go-live date of March 5, 2018, we are announcing a Chart of Accounts freeze that will be effective on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 to Monday, April 16, 2018.

This is for all account segments including chart fields, fund, department/cost center, org, object code, prime-sub, account, activity, location, etc., in McKesson, PeopleSoft, Banner and SunPlus.

Background

This freeze enables our LLIFT Project team members to accurately capture legacy Chart of Accounts data so that they can move that data into the new system.

Assessment

Any changes to Charts of Accounts during the freeze period will delay the conversion of February data and will impact our ability to complete the March month end close in the new system. March is a critical reporting month for LLUH and a timely close is essential.

Recommendation

If you must post a transaction during the freeze, follow these steps:

 1. Post your transaction to any single existing account
 2. Track all your transaction postings
 3. Reclassify the transaction(s) into the correct account(s) once the freeze is lifted (April 16, 2018).

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to us at LLIFT@llu.edu.
