New Common Rule Just Published]]> Anu Diekmann The final rule, which incorporates changes to 1991’s Common Rule, was published by the U.S.  Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and 15 other federal organizations on 1/18/17.  HHS’s Press Release provides a summary of significant changes.  If you would like to hear more about these changes, you are invited to join us for a webinar at the Research Affairs Main Conference Room on Friday 1/20 from 12-1:30 PM.  Our meeting space can accommodate the first 25 guests.  For more information, contact JR at x87463 or Anu at x86215.

The way to influence the simplicity of applications to research committees is to voluntarily review the  beta application form. We have tried to simplify the Institutional Biosafety Committee application process, now we are requesting volunteers to use the beta form when applying to IBC and to give us feedback.

The main Researcher's Alert page, which contains the most recent stories, is located at http://myllu.llu.edu/newsletter-researchersalert/. The left side bar of that page contains a search box at the top which will allow investigators to easily search all Researcher's Alert stories. The stories are also arranged by topics and publication dates.
