Uniform Guidance effective December 26, 2014
The interim joint final rule implementing the Uniform Guidance (UG) is now available in the Federal Register: http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2014-12-19/pdf/2014-28697.pdf
This “Uniform Guidance” replaces the administrative, accounting, audit rules and principles currently in the OMB Circulars, including A-21, A-110, and A-133.
It is effective for new awards and for selected funding increments, issued on or after December 26, 2014.
Research Affairs Financial Management (RAFM) has created a committee to analyze these new rules and develop ways to implement them. In addition, RAFM members have been working with national research administration organizations like the Council on Governmental Relations (COGR) during the process.
