		<description>JC, you have activated the research lock.  This prevents you from resetting the step counter etc.  Now don&#039;t try and say you walked 20,000 steps in a day!  I did the same thing to mine accidentally, just found out how to reset it.  If you don&#039;t know the code you entered to lock (which if like me, was done accidentally) then open the battery compartment (where the little slit is on the side) and unscrew the holding screw and take out the battery for 10 sec.  This will take away the &quot;L&quot; and let you reset the pedometer.</description>
